On Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Oscar S.R.L.’s headquarters in Carpenedolo, one of the most important training events of the season took place: ISOBUS OPEN DAY. This day focused on exploring this system and the technological advancements shaping its progress. The event provided a platform to discuss industry trends and understand the key solutions the market currently offers.
The ISOBUS OPEN DAY event was designed to give all the main manufacturers of agricultural machinery the opportunity to participate in a training and knowledge meeting on a subject that often seems dedicated to a somewhat exclusive elite. The OSCAR GROUP has made sure that the system is also accessible to small and medium-sized manufacturers, who otherwise would have had to look mainly to foreign or multinational companies. The OSCAR GROUP has been able to create a tailor-made product in a flexible, simple and above all MADE IN ITALY style.
Numerous local organizations contributed to the event, assisting in the development of the ES2 system as a whole: particularly the integration of the FAD axles and the SIDRA suspension system, manufactured by FAD ASSALI and DBD, respectively. The presentations of the partners were crucial in order to demonstrate some aspects that make the system fully synchronised and to the best of the performance available on the market. ISOBUS: what is it
ISOBUS, an acronym for “International Organization for Standardization Bus,” is a critical international communication system in the context of modern agriculture. This innovative technology allows different agricultural equipment to establish a connection and interact with each other through the exchange of data, facilitating effective communication within the agricultural environment.
ISOBUS System and OSCAR S.R.L. solutions: a complete overview
During the Open Day on 30 September 2023, OSCAR S.R.L. explained and elaborated on the potential of its cutting-edge industrial solutions, underlining the considerable potential of the new PowerCAN boards, which in turn have allowed the development of strategic products such as PowerCAN ES2, ETS, ELS, EKS and PowerCAN TUBE.
Of particular importance was the detailed focus on PowerCAN ES2, the electronic steering system for machines with 1 to 4 axles. This device not only offers the ability to lock the axles at speeds over 40 km/h, but also allows for forward steering control up to 15 km/h, providing precise and flexible handling.
Furthermore, other equally significant innovations were presented. PowerCAN ETS, for example, offers a hydraulic traction control system for trailers, using the ISOBUS system to collect direction and speed data. PowerCAN ELS stands out as a SIDRA model electronic suspension control system, while the PowerCAN EKS features a virtual keyboard on an ISOBUS system for the control of trailers or tools. Finally, the PowerCAN TUBE is proposed as an electronic system for laying machines, automating laying operations at the beginning and end of the field.
These solutions, developed thanks to the new PowerCAN boards, highlight the OSCAR GROUP’s deep commitment to offering advanced and versatile products in the field of agrotechnology. The event highlighted the multiple advantages of these systems, with particular emphasis on the terminal/joystick present on the latest generation tractors, a key element that allows professionals in the sector to manage the entire handling of the machines with extreme ease.
Challenges overcome for tractors without ISOBUS
The event on 30 September also responded to the needs of those who do not have tractors equipped with ISOBUS Virtual Terminal, presenting solutions such as the universal terminal complete with wiring offered by OSCAR S.R.L. This initiative aims to overcome technological barriers, ensuring that the advantage deriving from ISOBUS is accessible to everyone, regardless of the equipment in use.
The event on 30 September clearly outlined the OSCAR GROUP’s constant dedication to offering state-of-the-art solutions to meet the growing needs of the agricultural sector.
